On Thursday, 27 January 2025, the Deputy Mayor of Alfred Duma Local Municipality, Cllr S. Simelane, visited Nazareth Community Hall in Ward 32 under the leadership of Cllr Ngubane. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the appointed contractor responsible for installing four high masts in the community. 

This initiative is aimed at addressing the high crime rate affecting the area. The event was attended by Cllrs Mbhense, Majola, and Mjiyakho, alongside community members. During his address, Cllr Simelane applauded the community for their continued support of their ward councillor. He urged residents to take pride in the new infrastructure and ensure its protection.

Messrs Bohlabela Systems (Pty) Ltd was officially introduced as the contractor awarded the project. The installation of the high masts, valued at R2.1 million, is set to be completed within four months. Additionally, the project will create employment opportunities for eight community members.

Whilst, Exco Member Cllr ZI Madondo visited ward 4 to introduce contractor M&G Electrical that will undertake the installation of 76 households electrification. The project valued at R2.2m brought job opportunities within the community as the company will employ 12 people. The project is expected to be finalized within 2 months. 

The communities warmly welcomed the introduced contractors also appreciated the municipality for ensuring that service is delivered as expected.
