On Tuesday, 3 September 2024, the Alfred Duma Local Municipality Deputy Mayor, Cllr Sizwe Simelane visited the area of Uitvaal ward 35, under Cllr Ntuthuko Mbhense with an aim of introducing the contractor that will undertake the construction of Uitvaal Asphalt road.
Ward Cllr N Mbhense welcomed and introduced the leaders present and community members.
The Deputy Mayor Cllr Simelane then introduced Messrs Sinopa Construction and Property (Pty) Ltd as the contractor that is awarded the tender to implement the construction of the Uitvaal Asphalt road. The project is valued at R7.7 million and is expected to be completed within 6 months. This project is also set to create job opportunities for 10 community members.
Community members warmly welcomed the contractor and the project that is planned to upgrade the service delivery within the ward.
