To improve the quality of life and to try protect our communities from theft, the Alfred Duma Local Municipality has introduced contractors to install High Mast (Apollo) Light projects in wards 21 and 26 in Steadville and Bluebank.
The municipality speaker, Cllr. Bhekinkosi Sithole, introduced the contractors VPW ENGINEERS AND PROJECT MANAGERS in ward 21 and UYANDENI ENGINEERS CONSTRUCTION in ward 26. Cllr. Sithole had originally asked for collaboration between the community and contractors as a means of providing services to the people.
The contractors employed a total of twelve workers for each ward, which resulted in job possibilities. Additionally, Cllr Sithole thanked the residents of wards 21 and 26 on this achievement, noting that the primary goals of the municipality are to combat criminal activity and generate employment possibilities for the community.
The contractors estimate that the projects will be completed in three weeks since they plan to start installation by August 29, 2023.
